St. Louis County, Missouri

St. Louis County is located in East Central Missouri. It is the most populated county in Missouri with over a million People. It is named for Louis IX of France.
The seat is Clayton while the largest city is Florissant. It is bordered by the Missouri River to north and the Mississippi River to the east.
St. Louis County borders Jefferson, St. Charles and Franklin Counties in Missouri; as well as Monroe, St. Clair and Madison Counties in Illinois. In addition, the county borders the Independent City of St. Louis.
Main highways through the county include I-44, I-55, I-64, I-70, I-170, I-255, I-270, US-40, US-50, US-61, Former US-66 and US-67.
